The exhibition GER\u00d0UR will focus on Ger\u00f0ur Helgad\u00f3ttir\u2018s iron sculptures from the 50\u2018s. Ger\u00f0ur was the first Icelandic aritst to use iron in her artwork and was pioneer of three-dimensional abstract art in Iceland. The exhibition is an extention of the exhibiton GER\u00d0UR: retrospective, held in 2018. Ger\u00f0ur\u2018s creativity and experimental nature is an\u00a0inspiration for the museum’s artistic operations and reflects its unique position of being the only museum founded in honor of a female artist.<\/p>\n
