This lecture will explore how Icelandic artists, past and present, have drawn on cultural heritage and incorporated it into their work. It will also consider whether the distinction between cultural heritage objects and visual art is always useful, and how this separation influences our understanding of Icelandic art history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00c1g\u00fasta Krist\u00f3fersd\u00f3ttir is Head of Collections and Research at the National Museum of Iceland. She holds degrees in History and Museum Studies from the University of Iceland.
