Icelanders will go to the polls in a national referendum on August 29, yet one fifth of the population will be excluded from having their say at the ballot box: children!
Kidarchy wants to change that and invites children to a workshop on Wednesday, August 26, to prepare a performance that will take place on referendum day, August 29.
We encourage all children who feel it is unfair that they cannot take part in decisions about their future to join us!
Please note: During the workshop, participants will create a performance that will be carried out on referendum day, August 29. It is therefore important that children who take part in the workshop are also able to participate on August 29.
Recommended age: 7–11 years, but all children are welcome.
The workshop is organized in dialogue with Jeremy Deller’s exhibition National Happiness at Gerðarsafn Art Museum.
