Workshop: Soap Bubble Painting

Welcome to Soap Bubble Painting with artist Íris María Leifsdóttir on Saturday, September 26, from 13:00 to 15:00!

The workshop is free of charge and open to all ages.
Participants are advised to wear clothes that can get stained.
Instead of painting with brushes, participants will blow paint and soap bubbles onto paper to create unique and unpredictable artworks. All materials will be provided.

About the instructor:
The works of Íris María Leifsdóttir (b. 1993) are a collaboration between the artist, the weather, and time. Working with the elements, she paints with Icelandic minerals and oil on canvas. She also creates sculptures from metal and clay.
She holds a teaching qualification in the arts from the Iceland University of the Arts, a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the same institution, a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Iceland, and a Diploma in Painting from the Reykjavík School of Visual Arts. Íris María has exhibited in museums and galleries both in Iceland and Greenland.
